ITINERARY
05:00 AM: Beginning of activity, we meet at the meeting point (Trekking Expedition Minca office), and proceed to the introduction of the activity and wellcome. We begin a 1-hour journey uphill from 650 meters above sea level to 1.600 meters above sea level.
06:15 AM: We will arrive at the Miramar farm, we will taste a delicious coffee, in a traditional cofee farm in the company of local farmers. Finca Miramar 2 is privileged for being the place of transit of many species of birds, some of them are endemic species of the Sierra nevada de Santa Marta.
Endemic species that we will look for (Santa Marta woodstart, blue napped chlorophonia. Santa Marta Tapaculo, Sierra Nevada Brushfinch, Santa Marta Brushfinch.
07:00 AM: This place is perfect for bird photographers, due to its feeders that have been active for thirty years, led by Don Jose Ortiz, owner of the farm and our host.
We have the privilege of having the birds very close, you will surely get the photo you want.
09:00 AM: Return to minca.
10:30 AM: we will arrrive at the La Casona Hotel, very famous for the hummingbird balcony, we have the opportunity to observe more than 5 species of hummingbirds while we wait for breakfast for lunch.
