ITINERARY
04:00 AM: Beginning of activity, we meet at the meeting point (Trekking Expedition Minca office), we proceed to the registration of users, introduction of the activity and welcome, transportation in 4×4 vehicle.
06:00 AM: We will go from 650mts to 2.800 mts above sea level, we will arrive at Cerro Kennedy to appreciate the gift that life gives us, to know a beautiful and unforgettable sunrise next to the highest mountain in the world near the sea just 47km away in a straight line is the peak Colon (GONAWINDUA) in Kogui indigenous language, located at 5.775 m.a.s.l., Refreshment.
07:00 AM: The guide will provide the necessary equipment for bird watching, we begin the activity of searching and observing these birds so special for Colombia and the whole world, Endemic and almost endemic birds such as (Santa Marta Woodstar, Santa Marta parakeet, Black-cheeked Mountain Tanager- White tailed starfrontlet).
11:00 PM: We continue with the activity of Birdwatching downhill, with stops at key places or hotspot, we will enter two hotels suitable for bird watching, and arrive at the Mirador la Y where you can see the swamp on the left side, in the center the road to the sea that leads to Barranquilla and to the right the beautiful Caribbean Sea.
14:00 PM: we return to Minca, we will walk through the main streets of Minca to the office (Trekking Expedition Minca) to finish our wonderful day.
